For those who buy real estate in Italy, a tourist visa for 5 years and residence easy
Tourist visas multi-entry long-term (5 years) are issued to those who give evidence of the intention to purchase a residential property in Italy and support themselves without working in Italy (resources not less than €. 31,000 a year from the ownership of large incomes, from the possession of real property, the ownership of stable business activity).
With increases on the amounts of monthly income the mechanism also applies to the spouse and children.
After 5 years you can request permission to stay CE for a long period of a permanent character and that allows the holder to enjoy a substantial equality of treatment with nationals of EU Member States.
Applications must be submitted to the Visa Office responsible for the area.
