Description

 
Place: Wine farm of 28 hectares, located a few km from Verona, near Lake Garda, in the heart of the productive district of D.O.C. wines Bardolino and Custoza.
 
Altitude: 169 mt above sea level.

Main Villa: Built in the late nineteenth century, located between flower gardens and the beginning of a wooded ridge by a double row of cypresses. Inside a large hall distributes, according to Venetian customs constructive, the passages and links to various rooms and services. The ground floor is crossed by a stone fascia, which is repeated in the eaves and in the corners that define the four corners of the building. At the main entrance is located a protective shelter of the twenties whose wrought iron bearing structure reminiscent of the forms of art nouveau. A large glazed veranda enriches one of the minor sides of the villa, from which you can admire the beautiful natural setting that surrounds the villa.

 

Winery: Cellar with vaulted ceiling that ensures constant temperature of 13 +/- 2 ° CA and is able to accommodate up to 900 / 1,000 barrels.

 

Productivity: The company is able to receive and making wine using all the grapes produced in an optimal and rational manner guaranteeing the preservation of quality obtained in the vineyard, thanks to the quality system ISO 9001/2000 which currently adopts.

  • The production potential of the vineyard is 2,400 quintals of grapes per year.
  • Currently it is produced 37,575 bottles of wine but the production potential is 1,000,000 bottles.

 

Land: 28 hectares of agricultural land, including:

  • 16.8 hectares of vineyards (the vineyard allows mechanized harvesting);
  • 3.2 hectares of olive grove;
  • 1.5 hectares of hazelnuts;
  • 5 hectares of boulevards, park and forest.

 

Production:

  • Wine Amarone, Recioto, Valpolicella Superiore;
  • Extra virgin olive oil.

 

Grape varieties: Garganega, Trebbiano, Cortese, Chardonnay, Malvasia, Cabernet, Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara.

 

History: In this area have been found the remains of a Bronze Age village, the first human settlement in the area with materials related to arrowheads and loom weights. Some residues of brick walls, found near the basement of the villa, confirm the strategic importance that the same house had during the battles of the Renaissance. A demonstration of this there are other remains of walls and scattered along the mountain tunnels.
