Description

 
Place: Tenth-century castle surrounded by a park of 7 hectares, situated in a panoramic location, a short distance from the cities of Piacenza and Milan. It enjoys a special microclimate, thanks to which there are neither mosquitoes nor humidity, nor fog, is not hot in summer and not cold in winter.

History:

  • For the first time the castle is documented in the year 1001 among the property of the Benedictine monks.
  • In 1212 in this castle they took refuge the Guelphs, but the Ghibellines won and the castle capitulated.
  • During the following centuries the castle was involved in several changes of ownership and was transformed into a noble residence.
  • In 1938 it was donated to the Sisters.

 

Conditions: completely renovated.

The same type of arches in double order creating a decorative pattern in the attic. Of the exterior open regular windows inserted to make the property suitable for residential use, while inside it has elegantly furnished and spacious rooms, decorated and painted by hand, or with stone walls and tiled floors. Many original period fireplaces.
